Lake Sunapee Waterfront Residence

db Design Group was engaged to re-envision the landscape for a Lake Sunapee property where the existing home and site had functional but limited outdoor spaces. The clients sought to enhance both the interior flow and the outdoor experience, creating stronger connections between the house and its lakefront setting.

The db Design Group team addressed significant stormwater and erosion issues, including runoff from the street that was eroding soil into the lake and infiltrating the home’s foundation. Through careful grading, drainage design, and waterproofing, we redirected and treated stormwater on-site, eliminating visible erosion and protecting Lake Sunapee’s water quality.

The new landscape design includes waterfront terraces, pathways, a play lawn, and garden areas featuring extensive native and naturalized plantings. Designed for four-season interest, these gardens support pollinators and wildlife while complementing the clean, modern character of the home.
